What can he do?

Ask Archie what he can do and he will answer:

Analyze & Query Design Data

  • Retrieve building statistics: Get gross floor area (GFA), net internal area (NIA), unit/story counts, and area breakdowns.

  • Find and count elements: Search for units, spaces (rooms), doors, or walls matching specific criteria (e.g., area, room types, adjacency, or door styles) using the project resource graph.

  • Inspect layouts: Get details about spaces, adjacent rooms, doors, windows, and wall segments within any unit.

  • Export data: Generate and export structured tables (like door schedules or unit mixes) as downloadable CSV or Excel (XLSX) files.

Modify Floor Plans & Layouts

  • Manage space types & programs: Create, update, or reassign room types (e.g., bedrooms, bathrooms) and unit programs across the project.

  • Copy and paste layouts: Copy entire unit plan templates or story templates and apply them to other target units or stories.

Edit Doors

  • Edit doors in the current unit: Resize, reposition, flip hinge sides, reverse swing directions, center, or remove existing doors directly.

  • Standardize doors in bulk: Delegate large-scale door editing tasks (like standardizing widths or clearances across multiple floor plans) to a specialized door-editing sub-agent.

  • Add new doors: Delegate the placement of new doors in any unit plan.

Edit Windows & Facades

  • Edit story-level windows: Delegate edits for facade/story-level windows (resizing, repositioning, or retyping windows across one or more floors) to a specialized window-editing sub-agent.

Modify Walls

  • Clean up geometry: Automatically snap wall vertices to a clean grid, align slightly off-angle walls to be perfectly perpendicular to bounds, or extend walls to cleanly meet unit boundaries.

  • Adjust wall properties: Update wall thicknesses, change wall light admittance, or change wall widths while automatically preserving adjacent room areas.

Navigation

  • Switch views: Move your viewport between the overall variant (site/massing), specific stories, or individual unit floor plans.
